This image is the result of a short session on Feb-28-2003 using a Canon D60 SLR and stacked pair of TeleVue Powermates (2x and 4x) on an 8" Mak-Newt. Of the two hundred ISO100 seven-tenths of a second images gathered, a subset of some 30 contiguous images were used for this "stack", as the planet rotation became noticable when the span exceeded that point.
The above image was processed with Images Plus, which automates much of the cropping, stacking, aligniing, and combining procedures, as well as performing restorative techniques. |
