Lurking not far above the horizon at my location, M17 is a challenging target as it makes a brief appearance between a gap in my southerly tree-line. The RAW images must be further processed, but I was eager to get this posted, as clouds have way-layed my ability to gather images for the better part of this summer season.
Taken on 29-Aug-03 with a Canon 10D digital SLR coupled to an 8" Mak-Newt via a Denkmeier OCS operating at 1.25X, this image is comprised of five 300 second shots taken at ISO 800. Processing done in Images Plus, with final touches in Adobe PhotoShop. |
